Letters to the Editor: Biden Shows Incomprehensible Lack of Leadership

Payson Roundup Newspaper Oct 17, 2023

The Hamas invasion of Israel was not to overthrow a government, but to obliterate (kill) every Jew they could find. And more than a thousand innocents have been killed, including women and girls raped and then killed, and in the Kibbutz of Kfar Aza, 40 babies were slaughtered, some beheaded.

Don’t believe it? All the evidence is on video – broadcast by Hamas. And now we know Iran supported and funded the ongoing massacre and Hamas leadership thanked Iran for the assistance. And President Biden, with all the ongoing brutality and killing in Israel, continues to strongly defend releasing $6 billion to Iran. How stupid can one be? The $6 billion should be commandeered and given to Israel. The Biden Administration has already tried to interrupt Israel’s destruction of Hamas by going to Turkey and asking them to negotiate a ceasefire. That would be like demanding a school shooter to stop shooting until police arrive. Incomprehensible lack of leadership. And it continues.

Earlier this month, an Iranian spy ring was discovered in Washington D.C. with spies at the Pentagon and the State Department. In a major national address to the country last Tuesday, Biden did not make any mention of Iran’s involvement in the massacres. Nor did he publicly warn Iran that if any of the American hostages are killed, Iran will pay a severe price. A true leader would already have an American naval fleet blockading all shipping activity coming out of Iran.

More delays in leadership. Secretary of State Blinken was not dispatched to Israel until Tuesday evening – arriving in Israel Thursday, six days after the attacks started. Other countries quickly sent military aircraft to Israel to evacuate their citizens. Biden did not.

Biden has been dangerously lacking in projecting strength and leadership to the world and has failed to respond to crisis events quickly and properly. Bad guys around the globe are taking advantage of this weakness and threatening the world. Will Taiwan be next?

The United States must fully support Israel and allow them to completely eradicate the entire Hamas organization in a manner similar to how Trump destroyed ISIS. Biden cannot interfere with Israel’s operational goals in this conflict. Voters going into the 2024 elections should understand that the Biden appeasement philosophy goes all the way down to local democrat candidates who should never be elected.

Letters to the Editor: Republicans Hold Large Luncheon Event

The Gila County Republican Party held the largest political event for Gila County on Friday, September 8, with their Reagan Day Luncheon. More than 250 people filled the ballroom at the Mazatzal Casino to hear guest speakers Arizona Congressional District 2 Representative Eli Crane, along with Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz, as well as Pinal County Sheriff and candidate for U.S. Senate, Mark Lamb.

The speaking event was a Fire Side chat format in lieu of direct speeches, with all three speakers engaging in answers to questions from the moderator. All three speakers commented on their concerns over the leadership of House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, the border, parental rights in schools and education, the Biden family crime syndicate, impeachment and the approaching debt ceiling vote, the need for a new budget and the lack of a balanced budget. They also expressed concern about the weaponizing of the government and the abuse of citizens, and the persecution of former President Trump while the Biden family crimes are far more serious and being ignored by both prosecutors and the media.

The next major Republican event will be the spring Lincoln Day Luncheon. The public can monitor Republican events by going to gilagop.org or call Republican Headquarters at 928-325-7302.

Letters to the Editor: Independent Voters

Not in Gila County!

I enjoyed reading the article titled “Independents are now Arizona’s biggest voter group” in the September 8th issue of the Roundup. The article described the growth of independent voter registrations in Arizona which now leads all political parties in the state.

But not in Gila County! Republican registrations reign above all.

Republican registrations are nearly double Democrats at 16,293.

Independents are second at about half the Republicans at 9,509.

Democrats are in third place at a distant 8,338 voter registrations.

Republicans are presently 93 percent ahead of Democrats in voter registrations.

In 2010, republicans held only 4 of the 16 elected offices in the county. Today Democrats hold only three.

In 2012 republicans elected the first republican as Sheriff since territorial days. He’s still in office.

Gila County’s three state legislative District 7 members have been all Republican since 2016.

Our Board of Supervisors has been all-Republican since 2016.

Two of the three Gila County Superior Court Judges are Republicans.

Republican Eli Crane knocked out democrat incumbent Tom O’Halleran to become Gila County’s U.S. Congressman.

This level of turnaround in voter registrations and republican officeholders has never been accomplished for any county in Arizona.

Republicans are known protectors of the Second Amendment, our freedom, and our liberties.

Republican President Trump gave us a roaring economy. The Biden Administration has crashed it and is led by a feeble old man who goes off script in the middle of an international news conference in Vietnam and tells reporters, “I don’t know about you, but I’m going to bed”. Will Biden be awake at 3 AM for an international crisis?

I call on the reader to plant their flag for the party that had a proven expanding economy, and a party that cares more about the middle class than democrats and register as a republican.

The Payson Republican Headquarters staff can help you fill out your registration forms. The office is located at 438 South Beeline Highway. Office hours are Wednesday through Friday, 10 AM to  4 PM, and Saturday 10 AM to 2 PM. Phone number: 928-325- 7302.

Or, go to the Recorders Office at the new county building across from the post office.
